Berkeley Psychiatrists' CQC Registered Manager Alp de Waal

Alp de Waal joined Berkeley Psychiatrists as its practice manager in 2022. Between 2022 and 2025, Alp supervised and managed a variety of regulated activities provided by the service. Mr de Waal also performed various governance tasks to improve services and enhance the organisation's person-centred care.

In 2025, Alp de Waal advanced to the position of Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered manager. In this position, he has continued to oversee regulatory and legal compliance, focusing on upholding CQC safety standards. He also focuses on service delivery and effectiveness, responsiveness, and the service’s overall quality of care.

Prior to commencing his duties at Berkeley, Alp earned a master of science degree from Queen Mary University of London. Since graduating, he has concentrated on autism and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) research. He contributed via compiling data to a published, award-winning paper on ADHD treatments. Alp's personal interests include listening to classical music and walking his dogs.
